Simply,"One Church"
(Church + Una (One in Latin) = Chuna)
Every church has sermons, bible studies, maybe communion and such, but just about everyone who's heard of a church knows this. Where each differs is how they attempt to reach out and directly impact the community. With these vast differences, many people are simply unaware of what offerings exist and these offerings aren't just for the members of that church, but rather for the general public and the "unchurched."
However, the unchurched might be inclined to - and be open to - experiencing church with a different spin on what a church can do for them. So we are inspired to believe that these efforts ought to be much better highlighted, showcased, and brought out in a different manner.
As Christians, we believe the Bible, and one of Christ's asks is for us to operate in unity as one church. That concept combined with knowing that there are tons of Christian outreach efforts that go unknown or unrealized by the community in which they were meant to serve, is what has given birth to Chuna.
By attending these events and opportunities, you're engaging with the Christian community in "a new way" that challenges us to operate outside the traditional lines of the Church as we know it.
